About Me

First, thank you for taking time to come and check out my page & my work. I was born & raised in Lansing, MI and graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor's in Organizational Communication and a minor in American Sign Language. After graduating my now husband and I moved all over. We lived in beautiful Charleston, SC to Milwaukee, WI to Raleigh, NC- to Asheville, NC and then found our way back home to the Great Lakes state (I married an artist). My why for photography is because I have always loved photos so much. Capturing the moments to look back on & cherish for years to come. This thought process was even more prevalent after having my son, who is now 5 years old. He is growing & changing each day, which made it more important and imperative to how precious these times and these moments are. I want to capture that for other people too!

What experience do I bring to photography? When I was around 12 years old, I started creating themed photoshoots in my bedroom, courtesy of a blanket hung over the door (to create a backdrop), a film camera, and accessories & clothes to match the theme. I did this with my friends, my cousin, etc. It then developed into a semi-professional modeling career for about 15 years. I still loved taking photos, whether it was with a point and shoot, or an iPhone, I was ready to capture whatever adventure we were on. I purchased a nicer camera right before my son was born, knowing I wanted to capture his special moments as well. I've had the opportunity to do commercial shoots for local fitness studios, botox and facial centers, family portraits, weddings, etc. This has continued to challenge me and expand my horizons of what I can do and shoot. I am a fairly easy-going person, and want to make everyone feel confident and comfortable working with me. Thank- you again, and I can't wait to make magic into memories for you!

cheers,

Rhonda
